Overture Partners client has an current need for and experienced Actuarial Data Scientist to lead their team!!!  This is an excellent opportunity to secure a PERMANENT FULLY REMOTE role with a well established industry leader. In this role you will work with a diverse and highly skilled team to drive business goals. 

Opportunity Overview:
  • Will leverage knowledge to development positive client experiences
  • Collaborate closely with actuaries and other data professionals.
  • Participates in building and evaluating  pricing and other enterprise models.
  • Will communicate findings and trends to key stakeholders across organization
  •  Participates in projects through the entire data science lifecycle, from problem definition to data exploration, data wrangling, modeling, analysis, and deployment into production.
  • Maintain a close partnership with IT to ensure that our models can be deployed quickly and monitored on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • 3+ years in an insurance industry
  • Proven expertise leading predictive modeling projects involving new rating structures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of when to apply predictive modeling techniques such as logistic regression, time series, neural networks, random forest, boosting, text mining, clustering, deep learning, optimization, etc.
  • Proficiency in analytical programming languages like SAS, R, Python, etc.
  • Experience exploring and manipulating large amounts of structured and unstructured data using SQL
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including storytelling and other methods to guide, inspire, and provide insights to non-technical stakeholders

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics or relevant field of study.
