Our client is seeking an experienced BI Developer to participate in large scale project. This is and excellent opportunity for candidates local to the Connecticut area!

Opportunity Overview :
  • Responsible for BI design and development including; dashboards, data visualization, charts, graphs, data migration, ad-hoc reporting, and data validation.
  • Proactively recommends BI solutions to the business and executes on idea from proposal through to implementation.
  • Independently  or collaboratively to perform research and builds complex analytic solutions to support business operation.
  • Collaborate with development leads and business analysts to identify needs and set priorities and ensure delivery.
  • Work with BI teams and business partners to understand the business data and further enable business reporting from various analytical platforms.
  • Analyze user requirements, and based on findings, design and build effective and high performing analytic solutions that are in accordance with business customer priorities and business intelligence/data warehousing best practices.
  • Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
  • Maintain technical documentation for solutions
  • Research solutions to user problems
  • Translating high level design into specific implementation steps
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • Must be proficient in SQL, BI tools including Business Objects, data warehouse concepts, enterprise application systems and processes.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the following areas: Microsoft Reporting Services; SQL Development; SSIS Development and Visual Studio
  • Strong knowledge in: Report Design; Reporting Dashboards; Data Extraction; Data Transformation and Data Acquisition
  • Knowledge of Application Modeling and Design
  • Designing enterprise-level reporting
  • Designing/modifying data warehouses
  • Developing complex/multi-data source queries
  • Developing complex SQL queries and reports
  • Knowledge of Extract, transform, load (ETL)
