Our client has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Specialist to join their team.  The Desktop Support Specialist in this role will provide IT support in a fast paced business environment.  The ideal candidate is will provide top notch customer service to end user. This is a great opportunity to work with a well established company with ability to learn and grow technical expertise. 

Opportunity Overview :
  • Will learn from and provide day to day support for  Desktop Support team.
  • Diagnose and resolves computer problems and requests from users in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes ticket tracking system to document results of problem resolution sessions
  • Performs basic user administration on servers
  • Responsible for system preparation, including software installations and user configurations, for new and rebuilt systems for employees
  • Performs software installs, minor hardware repairs/maintenance, and assist with moving employees' desktop equipment
  • Responsible for proactively managing high severity and priority incidents from identification to resolution and escalation to appropriate group
  • Collaborates with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues
  • Responsible for recording, tracking and maintaining equipment inventory.
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • 1-3 Years IT experience
  • Experience supporting end-users in a corporate environment preferred
  • Highly motivated to take advantage of and seek out opportunities to learn
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users.
  • Strong commitment to providing top notch customer service to endusers. 
  • Ability to maintain a Professional demeanor  
  • Thrives in a  fast-paced environment
  • Eagerness to grow into long term career in Information Technology .

Educational Requirements:
  • IT Certifications are a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
Work location and Additional Info:
Work will be performed onsite (Southborough, MA)
Must be capable of lifting 40+ pounds.
