Our client has a current need for an Infrastructure Business Analyst to join their team.  This is a great opportunity to secure a year long contract with and industry leader. 

Opportunity Overview :
  • Assist with and ensure monthly inputs to Asset Management system are completed on time and accurately. 
  • Maintains and uses Asset Management and At Task technologies as applicable for infrastructure documentation, technical analysis and validation and metrics tracking.
  • Brings working knowledge of Service Now.
  • Develops and improves technical processes, leads in metrics development within Infrastructure organization
  • Tracks and publishes Infrastructure team project activities and metrics.
  • Develops reports, analyzes metrics for trends and makes recommendations for improvement
  • Provides support for production issues such as providing inventory and maintenance information, performing configuration updates, and testing production fixes
  • Actively contributes to internal departmental process improvement, acting as a role model and mentor to colleagues.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of organizational SDLC and Infrastructure tools.
  • Applies technical expertise to conduct solutioning/assessment activities to define ILMT/IBM Software projects/enhancements.
  • Applies strong functional and application knowledge while analyzing infrastructure operations and determining opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborates with project managers to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget and meet business needs.
  • Collaborates with technical teams to ensure current state system components and future state components are fully documented.
  • Intermediary between the technical resources to ensure technical design, development and testing meet the needs of the organization.
  • Improve operational efficiency of existing access databases, reports, and infrastructure.  
  • Utilizes database management system software and tools, and knowledge of logical database schemata, to investigate problems and collect performance statistics and create reports.
  • Maintains technical knowledge of specific specialisms, provides detailed advice regarding their application, and executes specialized tasks. The specialism can be any area of information or communication technology, technique, method, product or application area.
  • Works with counterparts within organization, outsource vendors to monitor and ensure appropriate maintenance support levels.
  • Prepares and maintains operational documentation for system software.   
  • Consults on the correct and effective use of system software.
  • Collaborates with application teams to monitors software component capacity and initiates actions to resolve any shortfalls according to agreed procedures.
  • Utilizes application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
  • Controls IT assets in one or more significant areas, ensuring that administration of the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of assets is carried out. Produces and analyses registers and histories of authorized assets (including secure master copies of software, documentation, data, licenses and agreements for supply, warranty and maintenance), and verifies that all these assets are in a known state and location.
  • Acts to highlight and resolve potential instances of unauthorized assets such as unlicensed copies of software.
  • Create, develop and maintain reports and databases using excel, MS Access, SAS and other programming/reporting tools.
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • 5-8 years Midrange Infrastructure experience required6 plus years of Business Analyst experience
  • Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work with offshore teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to Influence others with great negotiation skills
  • MS Office proficiency (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint) SQL, VB, and Access Database reporting skills
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required
