Job Title: IT Security Project Manager

Duration of Contract: 12 Months

Our client has a current need for an IT Security Manager to lead various projects.  Collaboration and prioritization skills are a must have in this role ensure project success.   

Opportunity Overview :
  • Coordinate and drive security improvements in the environment:
  • Responsible for the maintenance of current information security operational tasks.
  • Provide continued development of new security processes.
  • Manage multiple inter-dependent projects.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, composed of various levels of personnel, vendors, and clients to create and deploy successful programs.
  • Participate in a range of information security, data protection and risk management activities.
  • Provide policy compliance, vulnerability management, identity and access management, event monitoring and reporting, risk assessments and incident response.
  • Facilitate day-to-day project management activities
  • Responsible for coordination with internal security groups, remediation of findings from internal audits and other assessments, metrics collection and dashboard creation/reporting.
  • Lead problem solving discussions and develop new documentation as needed.
  • Leverage security knowledge to implement solutions / remediation.
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • Minimum of  5+ years relevant technical and security-related experience
  • Experience in a professional services environment or regulated industry.
  • Excellent foundation in overall security standards, security policies, and security audits.
  • Advanced understanding of IT concepts as they relate to security risk.  
  • Working knowledge of common information security controls, guidelines and standards.
  • Experience with data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA would be ideal.
  • Business analysis and/or project management experience required.
