Our client has an immediate need for an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join their team.  The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communication skills. 

Opportunity Overview :
  • Assist with applications, IT systems and products used by teams. 
  • Drives technical direction and integration systems within assigned department
  • Responsible for specifying, designing, developing, coding, testing and implementing software applications that support the needs of various projects considering the individual goals and objectives of each entity.
  • Collaborates with Information Services team to develop the technical roadmap and strategy for team.
  • Guides team to maintain national leadership in cutting edge discipline tools.
  • Offers analytical and technical guidance.
  •  Collaborates with relevant staff to ensure seamless operation.
  • Serving as subject matter expert diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, managing software and hardware installations and upgrades.
  • Responsible for documenting application configurations and operating procedures.
  • Works on long term strategies to address issues and responded to and resolved appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Recommends and implements improvements to the IT systems utilized within department in a technological environment making it more efficient and responsive to end-user needs.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a broad in-depth knowledge of bleeding-edge software, technologies and related systems.
  • Recommends new technology that are relevant to project and organizational needs
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Professional Web development experience
  • Networking and networking protocols
  • Relational Database experience (SQL)
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming language
  • LINUX/UNIX server maintenance and scripting
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services including Virtual
  • Machine administration and maintenance
    Sharp, driven, strong communication skills
  • Comfort with version control and project process (i.e., Git, SVN and Jira)
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
