Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Duration of Contract:  12 Months 

Our client has an up coming need for an experienced QA Automation Engineer.  The successful candidate in this role will be customer focused and takes pride in the quality of work that is produced.  Must have excellent collaboration and relationship building skills.

Opportunity Overview
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, architects and various platform teams.
  • Will collaborate with teams to deliver technology and enable future solutions
  • Participate in all business value chain activities from understanding product needs to product development to on-going maintenance and enhancements.
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • Solid Experience in object-oriented design principles and automated testing strategies for Web, API and Mobile.
  • Experienced in code refactoring, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security. 
  • Experience with build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Rake, Ant, Sonar etc. 
  • Experience in CI/CD.
  • Hands on experience with writing automation code using Java or Python.
  • Hands on experience of Automation tools like Cypress.IO, Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, Appium, EggPlant etc. 
  • Hands-on experience with BDD, TDD and Data driven frameworks for testing.
  • Experience in designing Test Automation framework from scratch.
  • Experience in cross browser testing and parallel execution.
  • Hands-on experience with JMeter, or any other Performance testing tool.
  • Hands on experience of API testing using SOAP UI, Postman, Rest Assured or HTTP client. 
  • Familiarity with testing vendor products either on premise or cloud and also with ETL and data warehouse.
  • Should have good understanding of Github, Jira and Linux. 
  • Knowledge of Agile software development process and DevOps practices. 

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of TDD/BDD
  • Knowledge of Page object model(POM) design pattern for testing
  • Non-technical competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Experience with Mobile specific sites, Mobile applications as well as standard web-based implementations
  • Comfortable working in a team based, distributive and collaborative environment
