Our client has an immediate need for a passionate Sr. Software Developer who thrives in a technical challenging environment.  The ideal candidate finds designing and developing solutions in a collaborative setting rewarding. 

Opportunity Overview :
  • Participates in meetings with potential clients to determine a technology strategy
  • Provides feedback for drafting of client proposals
  • Works collaboratively on projects, using version control systems and participating in code reviews
  • Makes appropriate technical decisions, reviews design and code and ensures best technical practices
  • Acts as representative of organization in a manner consistent with the professional and collaborative nature of business
  • Assists with creating unique, cost-effective and maintainable technology architectures on different platforms including web, desktop and mobile
  • Collaborates with business analysis team to better understand client needs and desired business outcomes
  • Follows established best practices that enable project management, SDLC, User Experience and Business Analysis
  • Develops documentation to support team
  • Authors comprehensive and concise code documentation; participates in definition of related standards
  • Actively participates in meetings and offers constructive observations and opinions
  • Stays up to date on cutting edge technology trends and recommends new technologies that add value to business outcomes
  • Identifies technology tools and potential plans for their adoption
  • Collaborates with members of the development staff from a technical and professional perspective
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • 5 or more years in software development with proven track record of growth and responsibility, including experience building web and mobile applications
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex technology issues into understandable parts
  • Comfortable working efficiently on tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Confident in presenting to internal and external (client) stakeholders
  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and SDLC
  • Advanced knowledge of version control (Git) and code documentation
  • Experience creating and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Ability to identify technical debt and create a plan mitigate it
Educational Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
