Opportunity Overview :
  • Support the Digital Strategy/Enterprise Data Architecture group on Business Intelligence and Data Science projects.
  • Work with business users to define and prototype solutions on PowerBI, Data Science, and Cognitive analytics solutions.
  • Perform detailed analysis of source systems data and design common data models (CDM) using PowerBI data flows.
  • Design, develop, and test import data from source systems and test PBI reports/dashboards to meet customer requirements.
  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation for BI and Data Science projects.
  • Perform quality checks from business requirements to the user acceptance testing and production deployments.
  • Extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources into PBI applications and data mining solutions.
  • Be able to demo and/or train end users and other stake holders during various stages of project lifecycle
  • Provide subject matter expertise and hands on delivery of Power BI reports and consumption of curated data from Azure ADLS Gen2 data lake and SQL DW.
  • GitHub integration - Version control, Code reviews, Project management, and documentation
  • Statistical knowledge and proficient in at least one programming language RStudio/Python.
  • Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business and technical requirements, “as is” and “to be” scenarios using Power BI service.
  • Experienced in data extraction, transformation, and creating Power BI data flows.
  • Data preparation by wrangling and data exploration for Machine learning (ML) and cognitive analytics.
  • Use considerable judgment to define solution and seeks guidance on complex
  • problems from Sr. Data Engineer and Enterprise Data Architect.
  • Primary upward interaction with peers and/or management levels within EBI.
  • Establish methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.

Qualifications & Required skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years of BI development experience both on-prem and on Cloud O365 Power BI service.
  • Cloud Data Platform Certifications (A Plus)
  • O365 Power BI certification is a plus
  • Must be able to understand and master business and subject area domain knowledge necessary to support Tactical and Strategic value delivery
  • Must be experienced in creating/authoring any required DevOps and Data-related
  • Power BI artifacts including and not limited to: User Stories, Context Diagrams,
  • Dimensional Models, Power BI Data Flows, and Kimball Bus Matrix.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person, via webinar, by phone, and via email.
  • Effective in facilitating working sessions to identify requirements, remediate problems, iterate deliverables, and track/report progress.
  • • Must be comfortable and vocal in collaborating and facilitating both live and remote
  • Sound knowledge of Data-related business and IT tools (Excel, Power BI (Desktop and Service) SQL, and Power BI Gateways) to transform and optimize current Excel reports.
  • Agile methodology expertise and Scrum Development experience.
  • Thorough understanding of Machine Learning Algorithms.
  • Good understanding on methods to evaluate Machine Learning models’ performance
  • Good understanding of Linear/Logistic regression predictive models and share/discuss the results with business owners.
Educational Requirements:
  • BS in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related discipline required.
  • MS Azure DevOps Certification is a plus

Work will be completed on site and remote.
