Our client has an immediate need for a Storage Service Administrator to join their team.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing top notch customer service.  

Opportunity Overview :
  • Responsible for maintenance and management of Isilon storage systems
  • Work on service-related issues
  • Responsible for Hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration management and troubleshooting
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Configuration and utilization of hardware and software monitoring systems
  • Responsible for reporting and tracking storage utilization and trends over time to predict growth
  • Responsible for monitoring success of replication and tiering of data
  • Quickly escalate all issues to supervisor
  • Assists with data migration and hardware upgrade projects
  • Review new and existing IT projects, systems design, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans
  • Troubleshooting of any issues clients and users experience through to completion and resolution, including vendor escalation when necessary
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Implement additional storage tiers
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • 5+ years in Storage Administrative positions with direct interaction with servers and hardware or equivalent IT experience
  • Experience with Isilon storage, including installation/configuration, software configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent understanding of LINUX and Windows permissions, shared folders, remote application execution, and associated best-practices
  • Proven experience managing large-scale multi-vendor projects and deployments
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Work location and Additional Info:
  • Work will be performed remotely. 
  • Participate in off hours on-call schedule.
