Job Title: Windows Systems Administrator

Duration of Contract: 6 Months with potential for long term extension


Overture Partners Client has an immediate need for a Windows Systems Administrator to join their team.  The ideal candidate in this role will have outstanding communication and collaboration skills to ensure systems are sustain peak performance.

Opportunity Overview :
  • Provide support, maintenance and enhancements to severs.
  • Responsible for maintaining Active Directory leveraging GPO's, Ou's and  integration to existing and future hardware and applications.
  • Manage and support subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments.
  • Manage and maintain VMware and Veeam environment.
  • Responsible for network switch and firewall support.
  • Adheres to change management practices and is responsible for maintaining CMDB and backout plans.
  • Participates in storage/data management and file  permissions.
  • Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production.
  • Work with and maintain existing Linux based server systems as needed to support our existing business applications.
Qualifications & Required skills:
  • Must have 3+ years of practical experience with the following technologies: Active Directory, Office365, VMware vSphere, Endpoint protection, Microsoft SQL Server 2012
  • Proven expertise with Windows Server 2012; Windows Server 2016.
  • Linux server maintenance via secure shell command line.
  • Microsoft back office (AD, Exchange, Azure, M365, PowerShell scripting)
  • SCCM Fortinet
  • Understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, DFS and the ability to maintain other Windows core services.
  • Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos and LDAP.
  • Basic networking experience (TCP/IP, routing, SSH, VPN)
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent plus 3+ years of related experience
  • MCSE Certification
